Who are We?
With a background as a Business Systems Analyst and years of experience as a Support Coordinator our "Chief Executive Officer" has skills that blend as the perfect combination for designing a computer application for the Medicaid Waiver. When she is not at the computer making changes and improvements to the system she is busy consulting with local providers. With the new technology she can access everyone's computer from her home base. We are a little concerned that she may be plotting to take over the world!
Our "Chief Education Consultant" is a little like Clark Kent, Superman's alter ego. When he is not behind his desk working away on IEPs and training protocols he is flying off to some unnamed location to save the world (so he thinks - in actuality he is off working as an umpire at baseball or softball game or as a referee at a basketball, volleyball or football game). With more than 30 years experience working with the Developmentally Disabled and a Masters in Special Education from the esteemed Lehigh University there is not much he doesn't know about working with our consumers to maximize their progress on their goals.
Last is our group of providers who never stop (and I mean never) making suggestions to enhance the system. They review and critique each report to ensure that it is meeting their needs. The providers bring a practical point of view to the application and reminders to the designer to keep it simple to operate. Still professional output that can be used to discern not only the consumer's progress on goals but the effectiveness of the training methods used by the provider. This definitely works because these guys are awesome providers!
Together we make a pretty good group and the system reflects our joint effort.
